LABOR’S DEBT - OUT OF CONTROL
The most important issue facing Australians today is the Economy.
“Australia’s Commonwealth debt has now topped 100 thousand million dollars and Mr Rudd and Mr Swan are attempting to sweep this bad news under the rug hoping no one notices”, according to Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce.
“Mr Rudd and Mr Swan are hoping valiantly that alternate issues will distract attention as they rub the rabbits foot hoping the debt will just simply disappear.”
“Australia’s financial security has just passed away in the middle of the night like a dear old Aunt from bygone days.”
“How on earth are we going to pay this money back? It will be interesting whether Minister Sherry can answer this simple question in question time today, or is the Labor Government in such a precarious state that this is a debt that dare not mention its name.”
“Since Mr Rudd and Mr Swan came to power, 19 months ago, we’ve gone from having 21.6 billion dollars in the bank to 80 billion dollars in the red by April 2009, an accelerated debt of approximately 6 billion dollars a month and now just six weeks later the debt has blown out to 100 billion with, Australia’s rate of debt accelerating out of control by almost 10 billion dollars a month. “
“Clearly the Federal Government is heading towards insolvency, and the emissions trading scheme is just a distraction from the impending train wreck that threatens to blow any scheme of any consequence out of the water.”
“In the meantime, the States are borrowing $230,000,000,000 that the Commonwealth said they would cover. Why not cover the debt of Sub Saharan Africa? It would be just as improbable.”
“There are lots of ways you can try to pay debt but closing your eyes tightly and crossing your fingers has proven lately to be completely ineffective.”
