I think it is clear that Labor has no interest in delivering economic or social benefits to the general community. They just want to keep allowing huge corporations to rip off both government and citizens, according to the following equation.
Taxpayers' Money + Citizens' Hard Earned Cash = Corporate Rule + Loss of National Sovereignty.
Or how about this one?
Huge Government Borrowings + Fiscal Irresponsibility = Burgeoning Foreign Debt + Economic Collapse + Corporate Rule + Loss of Superannuation.
Unfortunately I didn't receive the flyer which advertised a recent meeting between Unitywater and ratepayers.
I am told that Jim Soorley (former Lord Mayor of Brisbane and Chairman of Unitywater) coldly informed the people that they had had access to free water for MUCH TOO LONG i.e. been spoiled in the past! To think that he used to be a Roman Catholic priest! (I guess he must have become much too used to fleecing the flock on Sundays.)
If I had been at that meeting, I think I would have yelled out: "Water used to fall free from the sky!" But I'm told a number of residents vented their wrath at the microphone. Good on them!
Under a Labor government, we can expect the ongoing empowerment of large corporations, with taxpayers' money being spent on infrastructure, everyone being ripped off on an individual basis, and the profits NOT GOING INTO GOVERNMENT COFFERS.
Last night on "Stateline", some money grubbing bureaucrat was asking for a bond to be paid for Aged Care. He also wanted people to contribute to an Old Age Fund or sacrifice part of their superannuation to Aged Care, possibly both. (Does he not know that taxpayers sacrificed 20% of their superannuation fairly recently??? Short memory, I suppose. Next he will claim he has dementia.)
I think the people have NO INTEREST in further empowering large corporations. As it is, they are allowed to use OUR superannuation to empower themselves financially, while raking in mountains of money via collection of credit card debt.
Our hospitals and schools have been deliberately allowed to run down for the express purpose of handing both operations over to a large banking corporation.
Has anybody given any thought to how Labor intends to house the homeless? If not, here's a little clue. Now about your rental property .....
To end on a happier note, when I was out yesterday, a very angry woman said she is really unhappy with the way Senator Barnaby Joyce is being treated by the media. While the major parties (particularly Labor) are receiving most of the coverage, all Barnaby gets is the criticism.
Well, I think this sad situation has now backfired on Labor. I'm sure the angry woman used to be a Labor supporter.
Now I'm sure far more people want to listen to Barnaby and his serious concerns as to the fate of our farmers, small business people and citizens, as we did last night when he appeared on the ABC.
If everyone spreads the word when they go out, or via blogs, soon people will get the message and once the penny drops, they will repeat what they have heard to everyone they know. Remember, bad news spreads fast!
Let us all say "No" to a Carbon Trading Scheme and the general empowerment of banks and other large corporations.
Let us say "No" to deliberate fiscal bungling, money wasting programs and corporate "gifts", while our government goes broke.
Let us make it known that we don't want to put up with the Communist Queen any more. Lies flow freely from her mouth, just as they did from the mouth of Anna Bligh, right before she kicked angry rail and port workers in the guts, along with the rest of the community.
