Senator Joyce said the initial view of the Productivity Commission Report into water recovery in the Murray Darling Basin is a fairly damning indictment of Labor Government management thus far. It reinforces statements that Senator Joyce has made on the ad hoc nature of water purchases such as that of Toorale at Bourke for $23.7 million, without even an inspection, and from Twynam Pastoral Company, which cost the taxpayer over $300 million. This was way over the price they could have effectively purchased the water and has led to devastating economic effects to towns such Collarenebri.

Senator Joyce looks forward to comments from stakeholders about the report. He said,” I support a view in the report on the Murray Darling Basin that reform must be on a triple bottom line principle-social, economic and environment benefits, rather than just an overextended focus on environmental issues, while ignoring the consequences to everyone else.”
Many in the Murray Darling Basin are engaged in a movement towards the sale of water back to the Government but that must not be at the expense of those who rely on the economic base that water plays in supporting regional towns. The Labor Government must not destitute the lives of those who may not own a water licence but their business, their house and their job is reliant on water from the Basin for support.
All Australians have an investment in the Murray Darling Basin, not just on an environmental basis, but on the fact that it is the food basket of Australia. The connection is quite clear; if you eat you rely on water to grow the food. Over the coming weeks, we will go through the report in greater detail and look forward to comments from key interest groups, so that our response takes into account all those affected.

Just in case people weren't aware, Penny Wong seems to have a greater investment in the Murray Darling Basin than anyone else.

Steve Fielding has accused her of stealing his State's share of the water.

Energy has become one of the most significant concerns in the 21st century. The need for energy has continued to increase and it has become difficult to meet this demand. Coal is poised to be one of the most important sources of energy but it is facing the challenge of environmental impact. To ensure that coal becomes an important source of energy in the world, it is important to put in place a framework for sustainable coal mining. The government should play bigger roles in regulation of coal mining and ensure environmental impact assessment is carried out first. The government should shut down mines if they continuously ignore the law. Fines are not sufficient deterrents for coal mines to supply with safety standards and protect the people and the planet.

Triple Bottom Line

Well, every time I hear the word "sustainable", I know there is an agenda in place to empower corporations over governments, farmers, small business people and ordinary citizens.

There are almost limitless supplies of coal below the world's oceans. On top of it floats equally prolific supplies of Liquid Natural Gas.

As far as I'm concerned, the planet needs protection from Green extremists (including Labor, some Liberals and Liberal Democrats) and the huge corporations they continue to empower at the expense of Australian citizens.

Take a look at what's happening in Greece. The country has gone broke and the people have been rioting in the streets.

This is because Greece became one of 27 Member States of the European Economic Union. Since then, the only people who have benefitted from a Carbon Trading Scheme have been huge corporations.

Kevin Rudd wants an Asia Pacific Economic Union by 2020. This is so that we can become fully corporatised under a regime of global neo-communism. Why do you think Rudd has become strongly conversant in Mandarin?

Now let us look at what's happened in Japan. They have very high foreign debt, the country is in recession and they have high unemployment. A lot of their work has gone offshore to other Asian countries, destroying their balance of trade.

This is happening in all of the developed countries, because of global declarations and treaties signed by governments to break their own economies and their own farmers, business people and workers.

Why don't you have a good read of the following:

General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs - GATT
General Agreement on Trade and Services - GATS
Lima Declaration & Plan of Action on Industrial Development & Co-operation (1975)
Agenda 21

That's right. Our government is co-operating at a global level to kick Aussies in the guts. That's what Free Trade Agreements are about.

The Triple Bottom Line will be drawn when I have kicked at least 3 Labor/Greens in the butt.

We need to make everyone aware that the planet is a fully self-contained unit with a finite amount of carbon both above and below, and what goes up comes back down again in the rain.

Oh, and one other thing. You stated that coal is not a renewable resource. This is pure fallacy.

When earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur, more trees are buried under the ground. Then they are recycled back to us as coal.

The same sort of system applies with gas and oil, because Mother Nature has her own recycling system which does not require assistance from manipulators who think they are God.

If anything is not a renewable resource, that would be sunlight. Once the sun has burned itself out, at least there will be no Greens left to tell us a load of bunkum.
