The  Balonne River at St George has peaked and today is slowly starting to fall. It will take many days though for the township to return to normal. Attention is now focussed on Dirranbandi, Thallon and Hebel as the water spreads south. The township of Bollon is suffering a great deal as there is no dry land in the town at all and it will be some days yet before the locals can go about the hard task of cleaning up and salvaging what they can. I have been in dicussions with the Premier Anna Bligh and help is available to the communities suffering this bitter turnaround from the long drought. Local resident Terry Salmon was out in the SES boat yesterday and gave us these photos with a view from the river.

I would like permission to use the pic of the bridge (bridge.jpg) in a booklet being published for the Victorian SES about what to do in a flood. The copyright owner according to your website is Terry Salmon. Would you advise his contact details please.
