“Farmers have had enough. Enough of the restrictions on what they can do on their own land “says Senator Barnaby Joyce.Senator Joyce today said he was pleased with the National Party’s lead role in ensuring a successful outcome for getting a Senate inquiry to deal with the injustice to farming families as a result of vegetation laws.

Australia has had to deal with State Governments walking on to the place and stealing regional Australians’ vegetation assets but leaving the landholder with the ongoing financial responsibilities of the rates bills and the public insurance liabilities, whilst forgoing the revenue that the parcel of land would have provided to the family business.
This is unfair, unjust and regional Australian families deserve to be treated better.
When the Government steals an asset, it undermines the core underlying principle of why people go work.
Not only does the Government thieve the asset of those who own it now, it also thieves the asset from the people who’ve gone before; those who endured the privations while developing the block of land; those who fought with drought and uncertainty; those who dealt with the screaming bank manager; the families who have endured social displacement; those who had built up an asset that they believed they were leaving to their family.
Would these families have worked as hard if they knew they were leaving their generational asset eventually to government?
I call on all affected stakeholders to participate in the inquiry as it travels around the country and be part of the process in delivering a suitable outcome.
The Inquiry will be advertised next week and we call for as many submissions as possible to plan the hearings.

thanks for everything, Barnaby.

I saw you on the press club address and was applauding most of the way.

I have just written to the Oz and the Age in supprot of Lord Monckton, and wouls like to include, if I may, a letter I sent to the PM and the local member for Corio, Marles, when I heard that van Rumpoy had announced that Copenhagen was the first stage of a world Govt. Confirmation of Mockton's announced suspicions.

I have e-mailed it to Alan Jones (2GB) as he is pro Monckton, like me.

Keep up the good work, Senator, you do us all proud

Att:
The Right Honorable
The Prime Minister of Australia
Mr Kevin Rudd

The Hon. Richard Marles
Federal Member for Corio

Mr. Marles,

It came to my attention yesterday that Mr. Herman van Rumpoy, the new head of the European Union, which is a main player in the Copenhagen climate talks, has announced that these talks are the first stage of a global government.

This being the case, I demand, on behalf of myself and every other natural being originating from Australia (i.e.: Australian citizens) a full and frank explanation of a number of things.

The Briton, Lord Monckton, a peer of the realm and member of the House of Lords, has disclosed, through research conducted by his colleagues, that embedded in the Copenhagen climate agreement is a clause binding signatories to a regime of global government.

Von Rumpoy’s statement confirms this.

Mr. Rudd is obliged-and I demand that he does so-to give the people of Australia a full and frank disclosure of his intentions, any foreknowledge of the “hidden agenda” Lord Monckton speaks of (world government)-and full disclosure of all events and discussions leading to the intention to sign the Copenhagen Treaty.

I also demand that Mr. Rudd returns to Australia immediately to fully inform the Australian people of the implications of signing such a treaty, and why he thinks he can speak for the whole nation when he has not informed the nation of his dubious intentions.

I also demand that Mr. Marles immediately returns to Geelong to face the public to explain your involvement and knowledge of the government’s intentions, and why you did not inform your constituents of any agenda to sign them up to Mr. van Rumpoy’s scheme.

Given that international treaties are separate and outside of the strictures of the Australian Constitution, signing of the Copenhagen Treaty would create an irreversible position for Australia, and you nor Mr. Rudd and his government have any right to do so.

I therefore demand that Federal Parliament be re-convened to consider a motion of no-confidence in the Rudd Labor Government.

As Ministers, your mandate is to represent your constituents, and on this issue in particular, you are remiss, and do not deserve the trust of your constituents. Your return, Messrs. Rudd and Marles, to fully brief your constituents and the electors of Australia and relay their wishes to the Parliament, is your main obligation to the aforementioned.

In the meantime, awaiting your return, I require a written answer to my queries and allegations immediately. My address is enclosed at the top of the letter.

The Federal Labor government may have a mandate to address climate change, but has no mandate from the people to divest the nation of its sovereignty or sign us up to a world government, and is possibly treasonous.

You will be held to account.

Yes, this sounds good, but we will need to wait with bated breath to see if the inquiry actually results in any improvement for farmers.

In the past, there have been plenty of other inquiries that have led nowhere, and ended up being more of a delaying or dismissive tactic.

While the government is at it, they could also ensure that they no longer allow foreign interests and huge corporations to buy, thieve and control everything, while pushing down workers' wages.

Barnarby, Thank god we have someone with ball to fight for the hard working farmers that have been trodden all over by the Federal, State & local governments. I was at the Goonwindi meeting a couple of weeks ago and in Canberra for the Rally. It was great to here you speak and to see the support the rally gave you, it has given so many people hope. I would like to thank you and just to say, don't give up, we all need you.

Thanks Barnaby & Charles et al. for taking up this issue,

As you've both indicated, this affects many types of property owners, in addition to farmers & graziers.

For example, the NSW Govt has initiated a standardisation of land use planning laws across the State through the standard implement for draft LEP's.

This process actually pre-empts the Native Veg Act, along with other legislation, that impact on Property Rights and development potential.

The draft LEP [and a feeling of the inevitability of its ramifications] has caused many property owners in our area to place their property on the market.

Indications are that the property values have decreased significantly as a result of these impendng changes.

While our Shire is one of the first LGA's [at least on the Coast] to encounter these proposed changes, the roll-out of the Standard Thanks Barnaby & Charles for taking up this issue,

Mark & Sue Berry:

What you have discussed here would certainly be in accordance with the Australian government's plan to remove farmers from their land.

When your land values have gone down, huge corporations will snap up your property for a song, then bring in Asian slaves to work for rock bottom wages.

Then most of the food will be exported to Asian countries via privatised rail and port, leaving you to pay a fortune for the crumbs.

The same will happen with our mineral resources. Anna Bligh seems to have become great mates with mining magnate Clive Palmer, who is extremely eager to sell off our coal at rock bottom prices to China.

Now let us also turn our minds to the population explosion and resulting housing crisis.

The federal government keeps bringing in migrants and visa holders without giving a single thought as to how they will access hospitals, schools, public transport and housing.

What do you think the government will do when the streets are overflowing with homeless families?

They will probably use similar tactics they are currently using on farmers and landowners.

I predict they will find ways to push couples and singles out of their homes and make them live in those expensive little high rise cubby holes, built on postage stamp sized pieces of land.

Huge corporations will snap up residential property for a song, charge high rents, while ripping people off on the cubby hole accommodation as well.
