Labor’s Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS) has claimed its first scalp with the announcement today that Cement Australia is mothballing its Rockhampton facility. Thirty one employees of the plant will be affected by today’s catastrophic announcement.
Clearly what we have been saying all along has happened as demonstrated by today’s statement from Cement Australia which says that any long term prospects for workers at their Rockhampton plant have been undermined due to the proposed introduction of Labor’s CPRS.
Labor’s Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme is an immoral process resulting in a complete imbalance with working families losing their jobs because of a ridiculous scheme which will do absolutely nothing to change the climate.
It is quite apparent that Labor’s ‘CP’ in the CPRS stands for Labor’s ‘Cunning Plan’ to force a double dissolution and the ‘RS’ is what happens to the economy in the process.
Unfortunately the employees at Cement Australia in Rockhampton are now living the reality of Labor’s CPRS.
