Ordinary Australians may not get invited to The Lodge to discuss mineral deals with the Prime Minister but you can voice your protest at the impending sale of our nation's sovereign wealth to state-owned companies of foreign governments. The petition will be tabled in the Senate before the Treasurer makes a final decision on a number of proposals currently before the Foreign Investment Review Board. The Senate requires that people who sign a petition must supply their name, email and postcode. These will not be displayed on the website but a copy of all the names will be tabled in the Senate in the same way that a written petition is tabled.

Our wealth has been forged on our minerals and to let them into the control of other governments raises the prospect of trade and economic decisions becoming diplomatic disasters.
