Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce will fight to keep Borneo Barracks when he addresses a public meeting at Highfields this afternoon.

He is fighting against the relocation of the barracks in Cabarlah to Adelaide.

Along with Member of Groom Ian MacFarlane, Mr Joyce has promised to take his opposition to Canberra and Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon.

A white paper on the proposed relocation will be presented to federal parliament next month.

The meeting starts at 6pm at the Highfields Cultural Centre in O’Brien Road.
