“Inappropriate and insulting” is how National Senator Barnaby Joyce has labelled the documentary ‘In search of the Perfect Penis’, screening tonight on SBS Television.

The Senator is horrified advertising for the documentary in a major newspaper included pictorial references to the Pope.

“It’s especially insulting to the Catholic Community and shows a great lack of respect for all Christians,” Senator Joyce said.

“This really is the lowest form of entertainment and viewers have nothing to gain from tuning in.

“If this is the standard of programming we can expect then I suggest we should be looking at our television licensing agreements and where we’re directing our funding,” he said.
