"Whilst listening to question time in the House of Representatives I, with the rest of Australia, have been knocked over by the incredible display of ineptitude of detail which is the forte of this current Government.
"Minister Chris Bowen in his dissertation on the international financial malaise stated that China 'had not floated the Yen', not surprising considering that this is the currency of Japan. This mistake could be forgiven except that he is the Assistant Treasurer and crucial in the recent appropriation of $10.4 billion of Australians' money due to this same credit crisis. It does tend to display his depth of knowledge on the subject matter.
"The next butchering of the term Yuan that the Minister attempted only made a bad call worse. I do not know what currency he has now attributed to the good people of China, but maybe Mr Rudd can make the call and see if someone can help him out. In the meantime keep him away from the dispatch box."
