Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce is heading to Charleville on Wednesday to assist in whatever way he can, in his role as a Senator, those affected by the flood.
"Having previously been a resident of Charleville, it is good to see a lot of attention is being paid to those out west affected by the floods.
"Although, not for one moment we're not thankful for the rain, it has brought some problems with it as well.
"I'd like to get up to Emerald in the coming weeks as they also have to deal with the massive amount of water which has been delivered to their area.
"It's important that all politicians stay engaged with the issues they will find in both Charleville and Emerald for the long term as people try to repair the damage this flooding will bring, i.e., damage to houses, loss of stock, loss of fencing and loss of income but, thankfully, no loss of life in Queensland due to the floods."
