Queensland Nationals Senator, Barnaby Joyce, has welcomed the Government’s announcement that the introduction of a Mandatory Code of Conduct for the horticulture industry will go ahead.

“The Nationals have worked very hard on this issue and it’s great to see yet another election promise being delivered by the Coalition Government,” Senator Joyce said.

“Often the grower can be overlooked in large industries and it is always on the Nationals’ agenda to secure a fair environment for each and every small business.

“A positive working relationship between growers, industry and consumers is imperative for the success of all involved and this code of conduct will deliver just that,” he said.
