Senator Joyce remains fundamentally opposed to the act of aborting a child, no matter how or when it occurs, as the debate on lifting the ban on abortion pill RU486 continues.

“I will be opposing any moves to introduce the RU486 drug into Australia for the purposes of abortion,” Senator Joyce said.

“I cannot support actions which would abort a pregnancy. I believe fundamentally in the rights of the unborn child, the same as the right of any child or adult to life.”

“Marketing of this drug could lead to a greater tolerance of abortion in our society as the access to chemical abortions is made readily available.”
