Recent unemployment figures yet again assert the sound fiscal management of the Howard-Vaile Coalition Government, according to Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce.
“A low unemployment rate is always a good indicator of a strong economy and achieving 4.9 per cent certainly highlights the strength of the coalition’s economic credentials,” Senator Joyce said.
Small Area Labour market figures showed that over two thirds of regional areas recorded a fall in their unemployment rate in the last 12 months.
“An unemployment rate of less than 5 per cent was experienced by more than 60 per cent of all Local Area figures recorded.”
“These statistics are particularly impressive as they clearly show the Nationals are delivering in government for rural and regional areas.”
“The Queensland Nationals take these figures as a strong assurance that we are on the right track and every effort will be made to continue along the same vein.”
It could be suggested The Nationals are doing too good a job because you can not find workers in many, but not all, regional towns. This now presents as the next challenge.
