This week in politics

29

I note today that Tony Windsor is "challenging" BHP to reveal its true position on the carbon tax.

Perhaps it's time for Mr Windsor to do the same given that he is the one at the political poker table.

The dilemma for Mr Windsor is that if he backs the carbon tax in his electorate he exacerbates the current antagonism around his support for the Green/Labor/ Independent government and makes his position even further untenable.
If he blocks the carbon tax then the Green/Labor/Independent Government's position in the whole country is untenable, because they become totally purposeless. It is their own doing that the Green/Labor/ Independent alliance have sold their soul to something nobody wants. To be cruel, it’s almost as entertaining as Kate and Will’s wedding.
There is only one way out because nobody believes that the Green/ Labor/Independent alliance can change the climate and that is this; as Kate says, “I do” to Will, they have to just say “No” to the tax.

I have been under attack on another blog on this matter. Even if people are relatively well off, I don't think they should wait another moment to give this issue more thought. Otherwise even they will be complaining when the hip pocket nerve has been severed and replaced with a large handful of black soot.

I take each attack and each insult as confirmation that the message is hitting home far more often than some would like to admit, since no new argument is being offered to support a new TAX ON AIR.

If they keep it up, I will give them a few clues as to what the new Green Pagan Religion will bring with it. My belief is that it will be coupled with further attacks on democracy and common decency, and changes to the Constitution to outlaw any religion other than the Green/Red/Black Religion.

This will mean that the 10 Commandments will need to be completely rewritten to encompass every indecent act and living situation possible. Stay tuned for further elaboration.

In the meantime, I think we should all remember that 70% of the people have rejected a Carbon Tax, and that passing such a tax will be political suicide to those who are already severely "on the nose".

Please ladies, the weather is getting colder even here in Brisbane. If you can spare a few dollars to purchase some yarn, and knit a warm jumper, vest or rug, it will be very greatly appreciated by the increasing number of homeless and destitute people who are freezing (as well as starving) in this, the former Land of Plenty.

Simon:

Please take the bull by the horns and start emailing all of your Senators, your federal and state MPs, the Prime Minister, state and federal Ministers for Climate Change and all other Green BS.

We all have the opportunity to do the above, and also to go onto blogs and use our keyboards as machine guns against Labor Taxaholics.

Those who want change will have to become more vocal.
