Queensland Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce has, this morning, warmly welcomed the Australian Government’s decision not to sell its share of the Snowy Hydro Scheme.

Senator Joyce was happy to hear of the cessation of the sale of this great Australian Icon.

“Although outside Queensland, there has been a lot of angst over the sale and I have been lobbied heavily to enter the debate. It is good to see the NSW Senators can make a difference when they stand up,” Senator Joyce said.

“It has to be remembered the NSW Labor Government is the custodian of the major shareholding and was promoting the sale because they have run out of money. They were to be the major benefactor,” he said.

All in all, the outcome is good for every Australian, no matter where they live.
