Electorate Office Information

Barnaby Joyce is a Senator for Queensland who, of all Queensland Senators, is the only Senator with an office off the coast. In fact, Senator Joyce’s electorate office is further from the coast than any other electorate office in Australia. The office is situated in the small town of St.George in the Balonne Shire. Nestled on the banks of the ‘Mighty Balonne’ River, St.George has a population of 3,800 and a thriving local economy based mainly on agriculture. The shire is one of Australia’s major cotton producers and wheat, sheep, fruits and vegetables are also grown in the area.

Canberra Office Information

Along with the 75 other Senators from around Australia, Senator Joyce travels to Canberra regularly to attend the Senate sitting weeks. His Canberra office is based in Parliament House.
