There are very serous concerns regarding exactly what is going on inside the Queensland Labor Party and who is connected to whom and what strings are being pulled.
There is something that people need to clearly understand, the Fitzgerald Inquiry was not brought about by the Labor Party. It was initiated by the National Party in an attempt to clean up its own house because of well founded public concerns there were serious questions needing investigation. The Labor Party merely sat on the coat tails of it.
Ms Bligh is at odds with the LNP by stating that she does not want an inquiry. By taking this position the only conceivable assertion the public can make is that she has something to hide.
Until Ms Bligh has the fortitude to initiate a Royal Commission to investigate exactly what is going on, this issue will continue to haunt her Premiership and the credibility of her Government.
There is hardly anyone in Queensland who believes there are not serious questions that need to be answered and Ms Bligh seems to be unwilling to open the books and show us exactly what is going on.
The Labor Party appointed Crime and Misconduct Commission will always have the conjecture, whether it is right or not, that by reason of time and association it is an extension of the Labor Government.
The Labor Party has a bad habit of twisting history just like they twisted the events that led to the sacking of Gough Whitlam in 1975. Gough Whitlam may have been initially sacked by the Governor General but it was quickly followed by a Federal Election which resulted in Labor being dispatched into oblivion by the Australian people.
Queensland has become financially destitute and is now proving itself incapable of holding together the mechanisms of Government and the capacity to deliver basic services to the people of the State.
The legitimacy of the Queensland Government’s executive has been completely compromised and as a result no one can take them seriously.
Ms Bligh should immediately call for a Royal Commission, with powers to probe the accountability issues currently impacting on the Queensland Government, so as to clear the decks.
Until she does this, the rest of Queensland will question her plausibility.

Please make something happen, this is destroying peoples lives. The little man is being robbed of opportunities whilst the big businesses are the only ones that can afford to pay to get their own way. A Royal Commission is the only way to correct the wrong doings in that Department of Infrastructure and Planning.

That is typical of Labor. Their little eyes shine if they get offered big bucks.

There is more than one shreddergate affair to be uncovered as well.

Mr Nuttall has been put to one side for safe keeping.

Mr Beattie has been exported for safe keeping.

The government stinks for good reason. Ms Bligh is the unlucky one left holding the deodoriser.

What's worse is that the government is spending so much energy in damage-control mode, trying to seem like it's doing great things, that the fundamentals aren't being looked after. It will take Qld years to recover.
