Senator Barnaby Joyce said today he is deeply saddened by the death of Greg Meech, 2007 All-round Australian Champion Cowboy.

"Greg contributed so much to the rodeo circuit in Queensland and throughout Australia. In one of the toughest sports he excelled.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Greg and his family and we offer them our deepest sympathies.
