Queensland Nationals’ Senator Barnaby Joyce, who is currently travelling around the far south west of Queensland from Cunnamulla, Birdsville to Boulia, welcomes the response that is being given to the Federal Government’s action upon the release of the ‘Little Children are Sacred’ report.
“One can never underestimate the common sense of humanity when they see children under threat. If you want to infuriate people, start making excuses for why a child should be placed in a position of imminent moral or physical danger.
“Whether this program is too early, too late, too political, too narrowed or too broad is not the issue. What the issue is; it’s too important for us to do nothing now that all of Australia is aware of what is going on.
“I’d like to, on this occasion, add my full support to this initiative. It could be one of the most constructive things we do while we are in parliament even if it only stops one child from being molested.
“The connection between grog, pornography, drugs, child molestation and child prostitution is no longer an argument for debate; it’s a disgusting reality that must be dealt with.” Senator Joyce said.
