Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce welcomes moves today for Australia’s biggest road infrastructure package to be delivered predominantly in Queensland.

It is essential we stay at the cutting edge of our transportation infrastructure so that all Australians can benefit from the prosperity that Queensland generates.

“Roads are a statement of where the nation is and this is a statement that the Nationals/Liberal government intends a massive reinvestment in our nation’s road system.

“On top of the Roads to Recovery package, which has been vitally important in picking up the standard of many of our regional roads, we now have a major programme for the vital arteries that run between and within our major centres.
