Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce believes it may come as a distraction for the people of Flynn but they have to be made aware of the workings of the Labor party.
"You have become a play thing of Labor factional politics as they endorse and dis-endorse Labor candidates. You will soon have your third Labor candidate and they should be out on that record.
"This goes to show just how unreliable their representation on your behalf would be if they ever got to Canberra.
"Factional allegiances within the Labor party are of a greater import than stability and dedication to the people of Flynn. What you would end up with is someone who takes you for granted, who thinks you’re a sure thing to assist them in their personal path to high office. They have started letting you down before they picked you up.
"I understand all the people of Flynn are busy doing other things and really don’t give a cup of cold water for internal Labor politics but it's something you should be aware of when making your decision as to who will have your ear when their backside is in Canberra.
“The quiet dedication of Glen Churchill is something that should be strongly considered.
